Yesterday I sent my car to a workshop at BU (Bandar Utama), together with my spare parts like head light, signal (corner) light, rear bumper and right fender. Why there? The workmanship is good, I believe... Because I did send my car for minor repair 7 years ago, it is done by an experienced and skillful old man, who is not delivering bad workmanship like the youngsters nowadays, he is careful and patient too. The lady boss still can recognize me, I explain to her about what I want to do with my car, and she takes note.
Today I start work late in the morning, because I have to stay up to 9pm in the office. Therefore I go to the workshop again, to check the progress of my car, it looks good and well fixed. The old man is disassembling the parts, while another man is checking on the body, to mark down the places that need to be touched up, later they will apply cement, sand the surface and get ready for spraying. I squat down and talk with them, they are friendly and we share some knowledges, not bad...

I am a mechanic too, not really a full time one but I do help at my father's workshop, my dad is running a motorcycle business. When I was 9 years old, standard 3 in the primary school, I learned a skill from my dad, I started with fixing punctured tyre tube, changing spark plug, cleaning up carbon and some other basic jobs.
After my classes in the school, back home for lunch, I changed my clothes, and then I squatted in front of the motorcycles, started with whatever I could for that machine. That's my daily routine... It's part of my childhood, I had learned a lot from my dad. With his high expectation and guidance, I couldn't afford to have many mistakes, cause my dad would scold me for that. :)

This is my first bike in year 1993, it's a Kawasaki KR150, plated NAD 6459. This bike is fully rebuilt by myself. I disassemble it, spray the paint and assemble all the parts. This is one of my achievement. My classmate took a ride before, right? Tommy? Hehee...

I squat beside the old man, we have some topics to talk about, I feel like to skip my work today, and hands-on... Kekekee... So silly of me, I feel like to learn a bit from him too, since I love DIY, maintain and service the car by myself. At the same time, I examine my car's parts as well, to check any wear and tear.. But... I have to leave for work... :(
